Officially Forgotten
Your officially forgotten, your out of my mind
I can't befriend people of your kind
Dude its over, its official
And to me its mutually beneficial
I dont care, deny aaaaalll u want
Winning me over is definitely a can't
And really all you can do is flaunt
Im happy that you made new friends
They'll come in handy cuz were at an end
I'm sorry that this is what it has to be
But I can no longer consider you a friend to me

NEW POEM: Who Cares?
The rollercoasters
the flies
the trees
the lies
Dont mean anything to me
the cars
the grass
the bars
the UN
Dont mean anything to me
So what who cares
Peace Keeping Who dares
Dreams lost bonds broken
lost of words yet outspoken
lying liers
lying friends
strong relationships
come to an end
People cry
People Die
All this why?
Cause no one cares
NEW POEM: UMCP, O UMCP!!!
UMCP, O UMCP
I bestow upon you my love for thee
The Union, the Terp, and the MSA
Going down route 1 marks an exciting day
I love walking down Mckeldin mall
To observe the Testudo that supposedly knows all
O UMCP my acceptance I await
And to your classes I shall never be late
Engineering is my dream to be
Civil is intense, but I won’t flee
UMCP, O UMCP
How ur large “M” fills me with glee
Red, yellow, or however it might be
The Diverse Community that enriches you
You have Muslims, Chinese, and Egyptians too
UMCP, O UMCP
You’ll see me next Fall
I take an oath to study, care, and be courteous to all.
NEW POEM: this chance
One chance is all your getting
That’s what the said in the beginning
i thought u would take its advantage
from lying u took a large dosage
a dosage that killed this friendship thing,
the memories however will continue to ring
man i cant believe u lost it
now for this friendship your not fit
sometimes i wonder why
and while i wonder i cry
why do people take chances for granted
after the words “I’m sorry” they’ve chanted
i believed u and ur fake tear
but now everything to me is clear
you’ve took the route of no return
u bought a 1 way ticket, and there you’ll learn
you’ll learn ur true mistake,
the chance that u drowned in ur own lake
before i leave you i must say
our friendship just died, and there it lays
A friend like me is very rare,
someone you talked to, someone who cared
your heart is hard like ice frost,
indeed a valuable thing you’ve lost,
this chance.

10 things we waste
1. Our Knowledge: Wasted by not taking action with it
2. Our Actions: Wasted by committing them without sincerity.
3. Our Wealth: Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr (reward from Allah). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in akhirah (hereafter).
4. Our Hearts: Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it's place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else.
5. Our Bodies: Wasted because we don't use them in ibadah (worship) and service of Allah.
6. Our Love: Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone else.
7. Our Time: Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds.
8. Our Intellect: Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.
9. Our Service: Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in dunyaa.
10. Our Dhikr (Remembrence of Allah) : Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.
From Br. Mukhtar, based on a lesson of Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah
4 things 2 keep in mind
- To Remember
2. You should always remember death (that you will die soon and meet your Lord
- To Forget
4. And you should always forget your good deeds (so that you don't feel pride or arrogance)."--
Ali Bin Abi Talib

You know ur egyptian when...
- You call any older person you've never met before: uncle "Ammo" or "Khalu".
- Getting a visa to Europe or the States is like getting a baby, everybody tells you "mabrook"
-Every time you fly back home you meet relatives you never knew existed, and they look nothing like your family.
-You always curse at Egyptians when you are back home, but when you live abroad you make many Egyptian friends, and say how wonderful are the ones back home.
-Everyone is a family friend.
- If you graduated from school they'll tell you "Oqbal el Shahadeh el kebeerah", and when u get that "Oqbal el Aroosa orAreees", and when you get that "Oqbal ma nefrah be Aoulad-kum", and when you get that "Oqbal ma tefrahu bi! ! shahadit-hum", etc...
- You fight over who pays the dinner bill.
- If you are 25 and not married yet, your parents make you feel that you are getting too old
- You keep on saying Kol Sanna Wa Inta Tayeb left, right and center
- You always say "Open the light" instead of "Turn on the light " or" get down from the car" instead of "get out of the car."
- You pronounce your p's as b's (bebsi and bolice) unless you were raised also speaking a western language, a rare breed in present Egypt
-You ask your dad a simple question and he tells you a story of how he had to walk miles just to get to school.
- Your parents were ranked first in school
Oh. I JUST LOVE EGYPT !!!
